Originally an old bowling club, the building where Joey’s Preschool Early Learning Centre now stands, was completely gutted, and redesigned to become the stunning purpose-built centre that it is now.

When owner Carolyn Chivers approached Step4, she was looking for furniture and resources that reflected a specific design aesthetic. Carolyn wanted a welcoming, natural style for all rooms, to make the children feel like they were at ‘home away from home.’

“We liked how natural Step4’s childcare furniture was compared to other resource providers in Australia,” Carolyn says. “Being able to customize furniture styles and colour combinations was also appealing.” Carolyn wanted a point of difference in her furniture and storage choices. Impressed with Step4’s custom colour range, she added a unique touch by using different colour combinations for the storage units in each room.

The nursery room is accented by Seasoned Oak and white storage units, while the Toddler room features units in Ironstone and white. For the Pre-school 1 room, a combination of Wenge and white has been used, with Preschool Room 2 featuring Natural Zebrano and white units.

“We are delighted with the result and Step4 made the entire process so much easier,” Carolyn said. “Their prices are competitive and they offer a complete on-site set up and assembly service, taking away all the packaging. The customer service is excellent and they were lovely to deal with. I will definitely order more from Step4 in the future.”
