$306.90 including GST

Colourful solid beechwood vehicles, each with four rotating wheels, metal axles and lasered markings. The lasering creates a slight indentation in the wood, making the pieces tactile to provide a sensory discovery aspect.

The set includes 3 emergency vehicles (blue police car, green ambulance, red fire engine), 3 adventure vehicles (orange car, blue caravan, purple campervan), 3 community vehicles (red post van, blue mixer truck, green recycle truck) and 3 city e-vehicles (orange 4×4, purple car, yellow bus) with an electric charging point logo.

A lovely addition to any imaginative play activity, promoting discussion about travel, work, communities, holidays and the environment, as well as encouraging the use of descriptive language in storytelling and developing fine motor skills.

How this product aligns with the EYLF

Supporting play-based learning and inquiry
The Rainbow Wooden Community Vehicles encourage children to engage in imaginative play, allowing them to explore various roles and scenarios related to community and transport. Through this play, children can inquire about the functions of different vehicles, fostering a sense of curiosity and prompting discussions about their environments.

Building language, imagination, and social skills
As children manipulate the vehicles and create narratives around their use, they naturally develop language skills by describing their actions and the roles of each vehicle. This interaction promotes social skills as children collaborate, negotiate roles, and share their imaginative ideas with peers, enhancing their communication abilities.

Relevant EYLF Outcomes
Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity
