The design intent for Aurrum Toowoomba was to create a light, bright atmosphere by blending whites and greys with black metal elements, while incorporating the natural texture and warmth of birchwood. This approach was thoughtfully aligned with the architectural features of the building. The black metal frames of the tables, chairs, and custom furniture were inspired by the metal window and door frames within the space, reinforcing a cohesive design language. The aim was to foster an environment that supports flexible, open-ended experiences, enhancing and enriching the defined learning spaces within the design.
